The Green Thumb: is there really such a thing? What’s the secret? Here at the Farm at Green Village in New Jersey, we see gardeners of all types. After all, we’re the largest nursery gardening and garden supplies center in the New York Metro-northern New Jersey area. And based on my experience, I would say it’s not a myth, there is such a thing as a Green Thumb. So what’s the secret? Investing time, thought and some work in your flower garden or yard. That’s the secret of every gardener with a Green Thumb I’ve ever met. We all have Green Thumbs, some a little greener than others. But some gardeners don’t put in the time it takes to bring out the green.

Greetings from the Farm at Green Village, New Jersey. A customer just bought a young Japanese Maple from our nursery garden, and a very large pot to go with it. Usually customers plant trees, but this customer is using it in a container garden. As the largest nursery gardening and garden supplies center in the New York Metro-northern New Jersey area, we get a very good sense of how garden styles change over the years, and container gardening is one of the big trends we see for 2010.
